A bunch of new dates appeared lately. First of all, Fishbone will be playing their third Byron Bay BluesFest this April with a lot of other great acts (check the festival's site for more details). Two other OZ dates have already appeared for Sydney & Melbourne (although visibly not as headliners).
Another French date was also spotted, letting european fans think a full euro tour might be in the works. Fishbonelive.org has not received official confirmation of these euro dates yet and solely relies on third party websites.
Finally, as Fishbone makes it way back west from its east coast tour with Slightly Stoopid, a few headlining gigs have been lined up. One not to be missed will be the stop at Saint Louis' City Museum next month. The last two shows there have proved to be wild, so if you're in the neighbourhood, don't be a flake !
Check out Fishbone in its current creative process ! The guys laying vocals to two brand new songs at D.O.B Studios, with Derek O'Brien drummer of Social Distortion. Fress outta Youtube here and here !
Fishbone will be headlining their largest UK tour since 2002 in late April / early May 2011. Before that, you'll be able to catch the band in select Rockies resorts in the now traditional snowboarding tour. Fishbone is also supporting part of Slightly Stoopid's tour on the East coast, with a couple of headlining shows.
Check the tour dates section for more info on cities and dates.
Hopefully, these gigs coincide with the release of new music that the band is currently recording at DOB Sound in Los Angeles.
Everyday Sunshine : Best Feature Film at Docutah Documentary Film Festival

Tonight, directors Chris Mezler and Lev Anderson presented the world premiere of Everyday Sunshine, the long awaited Fishbone documentary, at the prestigious Los Angeles Film Festival.
During over 100 minutes, Everyday Sunshine gives an intimate yet objective look at the inner depths of past and present Fishbone, as a band and as individuals.
A lot has already been written about the stars that Lev & Chris have on film giving their props to Fishbone : Tim Robbins, Gwen Stefani, George Clinton, Flea,... But the real tour de force that Chris and Lev have achieved is to propose a multi-layered movie that tells an entertaining story to the casual watcher and, at the same time, brings tears of emotion to the greying first hour Fishbone soldier who already knows the story. Of course, you will find exclusive - never heard of - footage of very early shows (84-85) and comprehensive insights into the development of what Fishbone has become today. For one, the story of the 2008 Shattuck Down Low reunion with Kendall Jones will blow everyone's mind.
But what's really fresh in this documentary is the portrayal of the intimate relationship between band members, current and past. The making of this documentary clearly was a cathartic process for Angelo and Norwood, that most probably helped them stand where they stand today. And for that, the familyhood should be eternally grateful to Lev & Chris.
The world premiere of Everyday Sunshine, the documentary of directors Anderson and Metzler is scheduled for June 19th at the Regal 11 theater in Los Angeles at 10pm. Other viewings are on June 21st at 8pm (Regal 9) and June 23rd at 5:30pm (Regal 11). After that, the documentary will be presented at various festivals and the producers expect a theatrical release later this fall. A limited edition DVD is expected for the summer. Check the brand new website http://www.fishbonedocumentary.com/ for all details

Fishbone announced today its first tour in Brazil ever. The tour will bring the nuttness to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro & Porto Alegre on four dates between the 22nd and 25th of July. Fishbone hasn't played in South America since November 2000 when they played a couple of dates in Argentina. Argentina will not be forgotten this time around either since Fishbone is opening this small tour with a date in Buenos Aires (07/20) - I hope for all the Porteños that Los Fabulosos Cadillacs will take part in the party !
The Spring Skaward tour with The English Beat has just finished, and clearly, from what the great press reviews say, Fishbone stole the show. So here's your chance to catch Fishbone mastering their Scorpion Back Pinch on the slopes of Colorado ski resorts later this month or playing major festivals in the coming months. Check out the tour dates section for more info.
