Low audience turn out. Bad sound system...

Opening band was deadweight, who was great.

I don't remember the set. We were all confused why FB was playing 2 nights at this horrible venue in Everett of all places...

The guys played great, but looked really fatigued.

This was evidenced during the oncore. A drunk fratboy kept walking onstage and going up to Norwood requesting that "Swim" be played. Norwood unenthusiastically told him okay. The next song on the setlist was "Get Out of the City", probably the song I was most looking forward to hearing that night. Stewart began the high hat count off while Norwood told him to stop. At that moment the fratboy runs onstage screaming "SWIM!!! PLAY SWIM!!! That's my SH^%!!!" Stewart loses it: "YOU AIN'T PLAYING, MOTHERF$%^#$!!! GET THE F$%^ OFF THE STAGE!!!" The Fratboy slumped offstage. I really wished a)the guy got stomped by wetdaddy b)"Get out of the City" would get played. Instead they played "Swim" and called it a night. I couldn't have been more dissapointed... Not only did they nix a brilliant new peice of music for a request, they let a moron fratboy dictate the next song.

For years it's "no requests". Then when they finally take a request, it's swim, and from a fairweather fan...

The musical high point of the show was "Demon N Hear" with Deadweight sitting in. That was awesome.

went and saw them at the 2nd everett, WA show. Too bad Pheonix underground (Seattle) is no more thanks to the earthquake.

The show was awesome as usual and deadweight opened to my eyes to a completely new form of classical music.

Hey there, yep, that show did kick some ass. I too miss the Pheonix for the Fishbone shows alone (always packed, great atmosphere). None of the shows in the Seattle area have been quite as good since. I was very surprised that they played two shows at Jimmy Z's. If they had condensed the two into one evening there, I think the turn out would have been more on par with recent shows. However, it did feel like they were playing a private concert for us alone.

Anyways, the Raab and I were there at the 2nd show. Deadweight does kick some serious ass. For everyone else, don't miss them if they're opening.
The first opening band worth catching in a long while!
