I was there yesterday and I agree with everything Nerdfromutah said. Parliment didn't even have to come out because the show was over. Fishbone rocked it with a nice extended "Everyday Sunshine". I've listened to Fishbone for over 20 years and this was the first time I'd seen them live. It was so awesome for me because I always seemed to miss them but I've finally got to see them and took some good pics to boot! The hula hoop girl and a funny addition because Angelo started singing 'hulahoop..hulahoop' So great!

What a great show! This was the first time in awhile that I had seen Fishbone when they weren't warming up directly for someone (Kings X, Slightly Stoopid, The Toasters - George Clinton and Parliment played after Fishbone at this show, but it was more like a festival) so they played a longer set (1.25 hours). The only problem was the audience was fenced off from the stage - no stage diving - but Dre came into the audience anyway (down from the stage, over the fence and into the crowd). Curtis was not at this show - the Trumpet player was Fernando ____, which did a great job. The band was in a good mood even after arriving earlier that day on a redeye flight from Los Angeles so the show and setlist was extremely upbeat. They played a few songs I hadn't heard in a long time - Cholly, Bonin' in the Boneyard, Ma and Pa - and quite a few off the new record. There was a song I hadn't heard at all before - a Reggae song featuring Dre on vocals that I will call Fishbone Raga (didn't get official setlist). Overall, the best Fishbone show I have seen in years, and the only Fishbone show that I have ever seen that featured a hoola-hoop girl (named Spiral - she was demonstrating and trying to sell hoola-hoops on the right side of the stage and ended up on stage dancing during Date Rape). Brought my 11 year old son - his first Fishbone show. He was embarrassed by his Dad's crazy dancing, but loved the show. Fishbone is Still Stuck in my Throat!
